I learned several things when installing the L88 cowl induction plenum on a sbc with the ‘67 bbc hood:
The carb center is about 1 1/2” off from a bbc
It is a cowl induction set up taking advantage of the high pressure area at the bottom of the windshield
The areas at the front and sides are low pressure areas meaning you get little to no ram air effect at the front or sides (meaning the 65/66 hood vents are just that, vents not intakes)
The best use of the 65/66 hood is air cleaner clearance and looks (why I used it on my 64 with a 427 sbc)
You may know all of this already, but my point is that it is a lot of effort to install the plenum with little to no benefit.
