Ignition switch failure
I own a '56 and am experiencing an issue with a stuck switch. Here is the problem. I attempted to start the car as usual by inserting the key and going to the start position and then release the key. Then I tried to turn off the engine the switch would not go past the run position to the off position. I tried to lube the tumbler without success. I think it's the tumbler itself but can't remove it. Can you help.

if you can jiggle it enough while trying to turn to get it past the on position follow the instructions in the link below. If you have one, try a different key. You can't get the tumbler out without turning it counterclockwise and inserting the paper clip to remove it until you get it rotated to that position somehow.
