66 L79 with aftermarket solid roller cam has about 11”hg at 900rpm. Working on a “Lars “ tune. Was set at 14 degrees advance 28 total@ 2700. This is with manifold vacuum disconnected. Hooked vacuum back up hmm no change. Put mighty vac on can and no movement. Thought bad VAC. Took VAC out, PO brazed pin solid, so no vacuum advance. B28 is best option to satisfy 2” rule but they are made of unoptainium. Classic industries has a Wells DV1810 that their pic shows it stamped B28 (hopefully). If not does anyone have experience with adjustable VAC, like Accel 31034. Lmk
I bought two B28 Vacuum canisters from Rockauto about 3 months ago. Both tested good under vacuum. I recall they pulled 8 inches Hg as would be expected.
A few years ago, I ordered the B28 VAC from RockAuto and while the box read 4V1053, inside was a B28 cannister. There's been reports that some of those B28s do not work/react as they should but so far, I've been lucky with them.
I see that RockAuto still sells them...although a bit more than they used to be just a few years ago. Also, just like in the past, their pics do not show the stamped B28 on the mounting flange.

I sent my distributor to Mike Zamora, along with the Rockauto B28 advance and he rebuilt the whole unit and tuned it on his vintage SUN machine to 327/340 HP specs. Based on the worn parts he returned to me, it required a major rebuild.
The story continues. Forum member advertised oem B28 for sale. Sent message, I get a pm saying yes available send PayPal to …… almost scammed asked a question and reply “let’s get his done”. Red flags glad it was am and not pm! I may have sent $. Soooo will order New B28 thanks all! Chuck
Chicago Corvette shows a STANDARD (Motor Products) B28 available. You could call and verify it is SMP or other reputable manufacturer/supplier. They (CC) typically have hard to find items.........but call and verify.
I concur with the previous poster. If you purchase a B28 Vacuum canister, go to the auto store and rent (no charge) a vacuum tester and test your unit to make sure it's within specs.
