Hello Forum,
Im looking at a fuel pump for sale on this forum.
It appears to be NOS replacement.
Will it still work after sitting in the box for years as is or need the gasket and seals redone?
Just curious if it is worth it or just purchasing a new pump when the time comes. NCRS correct is not a concern.
Thank you in advance
Marshal
By looking at the box which has the newer AC Delco printing I think it would be fine to use , you could ask the seller to look over the box real well
they use to date the boxes

The materials used in the seals were - if built before mid 80s were not compatible with alcohol fuels.
seals wouls need upgrade, especially if its 40 years old
Seller said it is a mid 2000's era pump. Any problems with modern fuels with pumps 20-25 years old?,
Thank you,
Marshal
Marshal,
If this is, truly, a new pump and never been mounted (seals never exposed to gasoline), then you should be just fine. These pumps have been "ethanol ready) for better than 40 years.
