Tach cable
My tach is making a lot of noise. I was told it's the cable not the tach. The easy silution is just to replace the inner cable
and not replace the outside as well.
What would you do?

I wouldn't go to the trouble of "only" trying to replace the inner cable. Replace the entire cable and sheathing with a new one from Deluxe Speedometer and Cable Service.
