Things I’ve been working on lately.
Back up wiring straightened out.
Dash lights are completed using 1416’ bulbs and a 10 amp fuse in the fuse box.
Marshal
No Sir,
10 amp fuse installed in fuse box for dash lights.
wire is rated for it and no problems with this combination based on others on the forum doing same for years with no problems.
I had LEDs and did not like the white with shadows in the corners of the gauges.
The 1416 bulbs bring out the vintage green hue of the gauges and are incandescent yet bright as shown above.
Marshal
Marshal, Thanks for the update.
My gauges always have the shadows in the corners.
Looks like you also did the instrument lights near the clock.
Looks great.
My dash lights, using the 1816 bulbs, is good, but the clock is barely visible. Would stock wiring be ok if I were to use the 1416 bulbs in the clock only?
Dave 64
yes your good with 2 1416 bulbs in the clock.
because I used them in the cluster too I switched to a 10 amp fuse at the panel fuse in the fuse box.
you’ll be happy with them
