I hope that you are not talking about the numbers matching 64 big block fuel injected, tri-power, split window coupe that I just bought. I just sent the down payment to the original owner in Nigeria. The guy said that he was a prince.

I think this is a general warning and a good caution to follow. Our forum is no worse than any other and the moderators work feverishly to remove these clowns. But today scammers can use AI technology that allows them to scam 24 hours a day. They don't even have to be on/at their computers, a program does it for them.
A good rule of thumb is to not announce your interest to buy or the fact you sent the seller a PM in the listing. This seems to open you up to scammers. It's happened several times to me in the past year.........you just have to be cautious and use common sense.

Hi I was talking about a transaction I tried to do in parts section.I sent the person money thru PayPal and once I done that he sent me the same amount back and wanted me to show him the receipt I told him no then I checked who sent it and a foreign name like from china. When this all started he was using a name as speed racer.
If you think something is a scam, you should probably report it to one of the moderators, so that they can look into it. They take this stuff very seriously. Probably should also take the name of that person down, until it is looked into buy forum moderators.
These scams are getting much worse. I am on a model train forum that has been hit a lot lately. If anyone posts about an item wanted, a scammer will quickly reply offering just what they want. When you check on the scammer, you find that they joined the site just minutes earlier and they have one other post. That post is usually a reply to a general interest topic and they just post "OK". They also like to say that they don't have the item, but their associate does. The idea is to get you to engage in a conversation off site. I have now seen this same thing on four other forums.
