HE Engine sticker question?

Pertaining to small blocks.....I was reading in the 1966 corvette judging guide that corvette started in early September 1965 placing an additional engine code identification sticker(HE) on the rear end on the passenger side valve cover.I have never noticed one.I assume it went on all small block cars or cars with certain options?

pretty much all GM engines so on the surface the correct engine got into the car

This 1966 body drop image was taken on 9-28-65, with the HT stickers on the HEAD.
Looking at the zoomed-in photo, they appear to be two individual stickers.

We also know that in previous years, markings were hand written on the HEAD...
But I do not know when the stickers were moved to the valve covers.
