I hope you are right. Taking a second look at your pic, it still looks like sumpthin is very wrong.
Since the hardtop has been in storage for 9 years, I strongly suggest you make no adjustments to anything until the top has been on the car for a cuppla weeks. If it has warped from storage, it will return to its correct shape if you give it time. (That's first hand experience talking.)
Once the hardtop has recovered as much as it's gonna do, then you can start investigating adjustments.
Want to try to update, or close out, these posts once I get things figured out with the help from the community here. So:
I ordered a new switch from David S in California. Felt like his price was reasonable and he had a lot of knowledge. If you need parts you should check with him. On a side note I ended up fixing my old switch after I ordred a new one. The issue was the 3 wires that go into the connector off the main harness, two of them had popped out. I tracked them down and put them back in the connector and all is well with the world again.
Ordered a speaker from a recommended site here. It will be delivered tomorow.
Lastly I have not fixed this issue yet. The drivers side window is hitting the trim on the hard top. Windows fit perfectly with soft top. From what I read I need to re adjust the windows to the hard top and then take the soft top off of the frame and make frame adjustments to hard top windows. Then install new soft top. Thats my direction, I'm going to order a new soft top from Al K. Hopefully if I can cuss just right I will be able to get the windows adjusted perfectly as I hear the job is a real bear.
Im keeping this as my thread for my zillion questions I'm asking.
I'm having an issue with my oil filter (bolt on canister) it was leaking like crazy, a puddle under it and I tightened it to 25 lbs with a torque wrench. The leak has slowed way down to where it's drops now. Should it be tighter, is it too tight? The leak is happening at the top where it screws into the block. I'm fairly confident that I have the gasket correct I installed it into he channel of the block with a ring of oil on the top and bottom. Looking for ideas to make sure I dont miss an opportunity to get it right.

Thanks,
Did you ensure the old gasket is out of the channel, and if so, wipe it out up there? I have a set of dental picks for that sort of stuff. Other than that, I can't see why it would leak unless the cannister is bad. You could always switch to a screw on filter adapter unless you are getting the car judged and want originality. Thats one on my list.
Invest a cheap 14 bucks for a set of these. Great for intricate jobs. Just FYI. Got mine at an estate sale for 3 bucks. You would be amazed how these intricate tools can assist.
