Yep, I installed the 53/54 passenger car spindle supports in our 62.. I liked the drop, but you have to be careful with wheel / tire selection, etc. Especially if you have added the popular front disc brake conversion, since those will kick out the track width.
Those are 215/60-15 tires up front & 235/60-15 on the rear.
I had added the dropped spindle supports in 2014, and did not see any significant change in steering / handling.
However, at 80, last year I finally installed an EPAS type power steering (Microsteer), with a lot of long distance help from a fellow forum member, and could not be happier..

I can do better than that I have a brand new set of coil springs for the front. Never been mounted I’ll sell them for 1/2 price plus shipping. 1 in drop
Thanks, looks great. I was wondering if stock rims and tires would fit.
Scott,
Thanks!
I never tried the stock rims, after I had installed the front disc brake conversion..
But using the stock rims / tires with the OEM brake drums, & the 53/54 passenger car spindle supports, should work just fine (if I was to guess).
The main issue is that my aftermarket front disc conversion kicked the front wheels outboard about 5/8" per side (too close to the fenders to use tires larger in dia. with my 6" AR rims).
