My window regulator on the drivers side door makes a bit of noise when rolling up and down. it also seems to have a bit of play, front to back in it. Thought while I had the door panels off and adjusting the windows I might fix that. One note I would add is that the windows seems to roll up fine with no issues. It just has a squeaky or loud noise that has not gone away by just spraying lubricant on it so maybe I can remove it and there is a fix for it that way? I have not removed it to this point.
Is it better to rebuild mine or buy something new?
if rebuild is there a best kit to buy. Any tips or tricks before I get started would be appreciated.
Thanks,

OEM parts are always better than repops .
I don't know about kits for rebuild .
I would suggest you remove the parts from the door and inspect them closely for ware and clean and relubricat them .
Good luck with this project , and follow up with your results .
The rollers are replaceable, but, they are unavailable...DISCONTINUED....
Maybe some other vendor carries them
I've never gone inside of the scissor to see so i cannot recommend any fixes..
it rolls up fine with no binding. It just makes what I would call that old car window rolling up sound. Maybe if I take it out and clean it up I can correct that?
Could be just 'oiling' the roll-up spring and/or blowing out dust inside the geared portion contained behind the roll-up spring..and then squirt some lubricant into the gear inside

Im going to pull it out Friday and try some cleaning and greasing.
Does it make a "louder " noise going down?. Does it sound more like a "rattle".?. If you roll it down "faster", is the noise louder, or more pronounced? If so, these might apply.
1. Rear track fuzzies worn or gone.
2. Broken or dry "helper spring"\
If not as described above, and more of a "squeak", then the
1: rollers are dry or worn away
2. the regulator is bad (I doubt this is the problem).
All of the tracks should come out to be cleaned and re-lubed. Front track, window track, and leveler track (the short one bolted to the inside of the door).
BE careful with that spring, it can hurt you bad..... We used to clamp a small piece of plywood to them with a C Clamp to hold it in place where I worked decades ago...... Also used Powdered graphite in the front and rear tracks, where the edge of the glass slid...

I’ve found doing this (as a bare minimum) improves things significantly.
Whatever original grease (or lube) that’s left in there is probably now hard as a rock.
Clean and use lots of grease on everything that moves.
Just to make sure I update as I move along. The noise I was hearing was my spring. I took everything out, cleaned it well and added some new grease. It's back in the car and working good with no noise. Thanks for the suggestions.
