Default '67 Restoration Progress

We got a fair amount done over the last couple days. In one of my Corvette Restoration books, the author advises not to restore a car with AC. I do not mind a challenge... but, restoring the evaporator box and installing it was quite a bit of work.

King Rat, The work you did on that evaporator box is beautiful! I am restoring a 66 big block that has been sitting dead in a garage for 30 years and I am working on the evaporator box now. I am not looking to do a high level restoration like yours. I just want everything clean and working. I really don't want to take that box out if I don't have to. I'm not sure I could figure out how to get it off the fire wall if I had to. ( The body is off the chassis and on a dolly )
Is there a way to test the evaporator as it sits and avoid opening the box?

Very nice and I agree, that AC system looks stellar!

You are a little bit ahead of me and my 67 project.
