Default Blinker problems

Front driver side blinker stopped working. Replaced bulb, turn signal blinks on dashboard, all other blinkers work. Car had new wire harness replaced last year.
Thoughts?

Year? It really makes a difference if it's a 6 volt because the way the indicators are wired is insane on them (e.g. the left indicator is connected to the right front lamp and vice versa.) If yours is a 12 volt system then the wiring is much more straightforward. It also helps to know if you are running incandescent or LED bulbs. Does the parking light work and appear normal? If so that indicates that the socket is grounded. I would remove the bulb and probe each pin with a test lamp or voltmeter being careful not to short to the socket ground.

67 corvette, 327/350 hp. Not using LED bulbs, used a test light and there is power to the light socket. Brake lights work, so does emergency break light.

Are bulbs NOS or NORS made in USA or something else. I always used USA made in my 1967 car. Fit and function are much better.

Are you sure you replaced the bulb with a correct bulb? 1157 bulb is correct.

You didn't say if your parking light on that same bulb works and looks normal (ie the same brightness as the other side). That will confirm that the ground for the socket is good and that at least part of the bulb is working and that the bulb itself is grounded in the socket. If that passes THEN probe the socket contacts with the turn signal on and the parking lamps on. You should have steady voltage to the parking lamp pin and pulsating voltage to the other pin. Since you say all turn signals except the front left work, I assume that means that the left rear turn signal blinks and is not on steady. If the left rear is on steady then when you probe the front turn signal, it will also be steady in that case.

As others have said, original or at least made in the USA bulbs work best. I have sometimes had to add solder to the bottom pins and add a small blob of solder to the bayonet pins and then file them down until they fit tightly in the socket with cheap Chinese bulbs. It not unusual for the tabs on the socket to need bending with a small hooked pick to make contact. You also need to look for corrosion but the parking light check tells you a lot in one go.

If the indicator on the dash works, the problem is not in the turn signal switch. The problem will be most likely at the front connector in the wiring. There is a connector in the wheel well that fees the voltage to the bulb connector. If, as you say, the contact in the socket has no voltage, you need to check the wiring in one of those two connectors. The wire color for the driver's side turn signal is light blue (possibly black with a light blue stripe). Check in the wiring connector for a loose or corroded connection. Possibly in the bulkhead connectors, but not as likely. Follow that light blue wire and check for voltage with the signal on and you should find the problem.

You have good direction above. A quick check is to swap the bulbs to a known working T/S to the one not working. I also have found new bulbs that were lacking sufficient solder on the contacts to make a connection.
