don't know if this is allowed here, but...
my car used to cruise around 195* and creep up to around 200-210* in traffic on mid 80* days. i put in a Dewitt's repro radiator (expensive) and today in 83-85* the car cruised at 180* or less and creeped up to 185ish in traffic. only other thing changed was i added back the small rubber flap to the lower shroud. that may have helped but i give most of the credit to the radiator. the old radiator was a replacement and not original.
Some forum members swear by DeWitt's other prefer less costly options. My personal preference is when it comes to a radiator buy what you're comfortable with. When I need another Corvette radiator it will be a DeWitt's. Reliability and proper fit are priceless IMCO.
You own a 50 to over 100K automobile and you hunt for the cheapest
parts you can find. Makes sense to me. NOT!
I run Dewitt rads in all of my hot rods including the vettes. Not cheap but
their products are superior to the cheap brands (China).
Quality always cost a little bit more.
