Default C1 door post differences?

The leading edge of the driver's side door post is broken off, and I am looking for a replacement. I have read that some of the posts have a serrated edge where the weather strip attaches and others are smooth, mine are serrated. Are there any other differences in the posts from different years? I have seen listings stating the post fits 56-62, 59-62 and 61-62. I want to make sure that what I order fits correctly. I am also replacing the weatherstripping at the same time if that makes a difference.

All 56-62 door posts are interchangeable, but there were 3 different designs of them. The first design was used from 56-58, the second was used for 59-60 and the third was used on 61's and 62's.

The main difference between all of the posts is in the top of the posts. The 56-58 has one top design and uses auxiliary post weatherstrip with a separate rubber stop. The tops of the 59-62 posts are slightly different and take an auxiliary weatherstrip that has the top stop molded into the weatherstrip. The only difference between the 59-60 and 61-62 posts is the 59-60 ones have the serrated back while the 61-62's are smooth on the backside. With the posts all being interchangeable, the only thing you need to do is make sure you use 56-58 auxiliary weatherstrips and separate top stops with 56-58 posts, and 60-62 auxiliary weatherstrips with 60-62 posts.
