Differential cross shaft
I bought one of these shafts and looks good. Measured and its good compared with a GM. Don't have a way to check the hardness but a file will bounce off it.
Anybody used one? Ebay Item 287277530087 GM part number 9776894. Price 29.61

The cross shafts that were the best were made and sold by Tom's or Eaton.
Some of the new cross shafts sold today I found issues with, both USA made and I believe imported. I won't use them.
I use a lot of shafts and when I checked with Eaton they won't sell them separately.
I had the choice that many rebuilders face today, use cheap parts or get better. Many use cheap, I don't.
I had to have them made; I have permission to make Tom's parts. I used the same shop Tom used, same blueprint, only I had them made oversize. Cryo and non-cryo, hardened and ground, USA made and I have run them in on my machine without any sign of wear. Some of the others sold didn't get past 150 rev's before showing wear on them.
Unfortunately, many don't know or as the old verbiage goes, "pennywise & pound foolish".
This is just fact, no solicitation on my part.
