All - considering adding a passenger side mirror to my non original ‘56 Vette. Anyone have any pictures or advice? Does the passenger side windshield chrome/trim block the mirror, can mirror be installed in same position as drivers side, does anyone sell a reverse side mirror so the set screw hole would face interior of the car, etc.. thanks
Installing a mirror on the pass side of a car is tricky...the mirror needs to be far enough back that you can see it, and the real tricky part is that it has to be adjustable enough that you can see straight back from the car. Most mirrors designed for the driver door will not swivel far enough! So don't drill any holes until you're damn sure it's gonna work!
btw, I've never really seen a need for that mirror in my 62, when the top is down...and I get by when the top is up...since I've been driving old cars without that mirror for 50 years.
