Put a pair of adjustable strut rods on and after several miles of driving, they seem to self adjust themselves to a very negative camber no matter how tight the lock nuts are. Anyone experience this problem with adjustable struts?
Mike, I've had them on my vert for a few years now, and haven't noticed anything. But, now you've got me thinking :skep: Maybe I should go home tonight and crawl under and check mine!!!
Maybe try getting them set, and putting a good dose of Loc-Tite on them?? Brian
I put on a set of strut rods from VET BRAKES and have had no problems. Did you install adjustable cams at the top of the strut rod? If you did this may be turning. You have to either tighten the living heck out of them or replace them with the square bracket mount that eliminates the cam adjustment and relies on the strut adjustment.
No, they are not the cam bolt adjustable ones. I got them from VBP, poly bushing adjustable. I called them and they did say that they have had a couple of calls about the same problem. solution was to make sure threads were very clean and torque the heck out of the jam juts and maybe a little lock tite also.
My real concern now is how that affected my wheel bearings (brand new). The amount of camber on the wheel was incredible. I don,t think there were many threads left on the struts before the ends would have come completely off.
