Just wanted to say how much of a pleasure it is to moderate the C1/C2 sections. While we all have differences of opinion the folks here somehow seem to know that the knowledge base of our guys & gals is at different levels and we simply work thru it. The kindness you show the new ones with the 'same old questions' is duly noted. Flame wars are non-existent here. Try going to off-topic or political or some other sections here and you will know what I mean. Those moderators get a work out!! Again, thank you, you make my small part here a pleasure. :cheers:

I agree, I have explored other sections and have posted a few comments in off topic but that is like running your head into a brick wall.

The C1/C2 section bar far on the Internet is one of my favorite places to come for mental nourishment. I would like a secret off topic or political section that was just for us here. I think there are some great minds here and that there is allot more to you guys then our common denominator of the vettes.

Couldn't agree more. I also have a Mopar and have spent time on the MOPARTS forum for several years. I just started spending time on this a few months ago even though I've had Corvettes for 22 years. I've been pleased at how much hands-on type repair and resto stuff gets discussed on this board and how much help gets provided to Corvette owners. There isn't as much personal and off-topic stuff on this forum as others. :thumbs:

Well, maybe because we drive the original Vettes. Anyone can buy a new one without any history. I feel we belong to the dinosarus as Iv`e been driving them so long. What I don`t like is the Vette stays the same, but the guy crawling into it keeps getting older and older. The Vette is my alter ego {Dorion Gray} all covered up. These statements probably only apply to a few on the forum, but is a nice forum. Thanks to you all and the moderator. party: :cheers:

We likely have more AARP members
Age tempers arrogance of youth
Wisdom increases with age
Many were part of the original hot rod movement when innovation, creativity, & greasy hands shaped the hobby.
We still love to work on our cars or just don't know any better.

I think that we also appreciate a time when you had to be actively involved in the driving experience. "Man and Machine" with raw power, noise, and wind in your face performance. :steering:

And we just plain don't want to turn loose of our youth! :cheers:

YEAH - mebbe so - BUT I was (somewhat) young when I bought mine ;) The only GOOD thing when I was 60 years old was to be able to say (about the Vette): "I've had it half my life!". Soon (5/17) I'll be celebrating my 36th year of ownership :cool: and - on the same date - my 13th wedding anniversary :thumbs:
