I am about to buy new seat covers and foam for my "62" driver. There are signficant price differences between suppliers. Zip sells seat covers for $189 pre pair and foam for $150, Al Knoch sells theirs for $315 and $190. My question is, am I getting anything for the extra money or are both comparable?
There is a big difference between ZIP and Al Knochs. ZIP sells seat covers made by someone else. Al Knochs makes seat covers for a living.
You should ask ZIP who makes the ones that they sell and then compare them to Al Knochs.
I've purchase a set of Al Knochs seat covers and foam for my '63. They fit great. That is not to say that others are bad. I can not tell you that. I only know that I was very pleased with Al Knochs covers.
When mine needed replacement years ago, I never considered any other than Al Knoch, based on his reputation; have had NO regrets :nono:
Like Gary sez, I have no idea of what else is out there quality-wise

I just finished the last piece today, I used Ak Knoch the quality is #1 the instalation kits sucks and Video is great and very informative ( a must to buy)
About the install kit............ The video states you need 10 wire snaps for the seat back and only the cheap guys put 5 ,,,,the kit comes with ,,,,,,,,,,,5,,,,, :mad Of course I broke the first wire snap I tried and now you are screwed :mad I called Al Knoch inc and they had no idea what I was asking for so the (very plesant women) sent me a new whole instalation kit well thats nice and she was nice but break one more wire snap and your screwed again cause instead of a kit doing 2 seats it does almost 1.25 seats..... this company has great products but they need to redo their install kits. Also you cant but the wire snaps locally because knowone uses this system anymore .... but don't misunderstand me Al Knoch is shoulders above anyone else in quality. :steering:
Another vote for Al Knoch here. I have their seat covers in my 69, and they are absolutely top notch. I am in the process of installing their carpet, as my ACC carpet did not last even two years :(.
