battery tray difference

Default battery tray difference
Why the different battery trays for an A/C car vs a non-A/C car (1964)? Isn't all of the A/C components on the right side and the tray on the driver side, away from each other?

In my 63 coupe (non-a/c), the battery tray is on the right (passenger) side.

Midyear non-A/C cars all have the battery on the passenger side (except the '65 L-78), and A/C cars (and the '65 L-78) have the battery on the driver's side, behind an access panel at the rear of the front wheel well. :thumbs:
