Post the VIN suffix, the trim plate data, the number off the stamping pad on the front of the passenger side of the engine and we'll tell him what je's got (well, a start at least).
I'll work on getting the rest of the info. :D Is there any way to find out where the car was originally sold? I know that Pontiac Historical Services has this info for '60s and '70s Pontiacs. Does a similiar service exist for Corvettes? Thanks.
Nope, there are no records for any St. Louis-built Corvettes; only for '81 and later built at Bowling Green. All the VIN tells you is that it's a '64 convertible, built on March 12, 1964. All the numbers on the trim tag (below the glove box door, next to the VIN plate) and all the numbers from the engine (casting date and number behind the cylinder heads and numbers stamped on the machined pad in front of the passenger side cylinder head) will show the original color and trim and where the engne came from. Post that info here and we can decode it.
