Default Torque Spec Sheet.....A Complete Listing..?????

Is there any place on the net that I could find a complete listing of torque specs for my 65CP. I plan on doing some assembly this week end and would like to have an easy to look up listing of specs on the back end. I haven't looked in the Assembly manule yet but I suspect that some spec's are in their.

Can I expect to find a complete easy to find listing of all the bolt torque specs?

I don't know if there is a complete listing in one place in the AIM. The factory service manual has tables in the back which list the torque specs specific to each individual section of the manual (i.e., engine, rear end, suspension, etc.). That is the reference I use.

I typed up a complete sheet 10-12 years ago and hung it on my garage wall.

Its all over the AIM and Service Manuals. Ya gotta work at it to get a list or spend time thrashing through the books with dirty fingers to find the diff yoke torque for a BB or the rear spindle nut torque. I kinda like the front wheel bearing torque spec too. The chart in the back of the Service Manual is only the beginning. :nopity

The Chassis Overhaul Manual is also a good source for torque info, especially for individual components like engines, axles, transmissions, etc. that were supplied as assemblies to St. Louis, thus whose torques don't show up in the Assembly Manual. If you have the Assembly Manual, Chassis Service Manual, and Chassis Overhaul Manual, you've got it all covered.

Thanks guys for the reply. I kinda figured I would be hunting all over the books looking here and there. It would be great if there was just a torque list by section listing all bolt torque's..... But I guess that's to much to ask for.

Gotta remember..................It's a Mid Year..... :jester

Years ago a friend told me someone on ebay had a sheet they complied with all torque specs on all chevy auto's for, if my memory is not faulty, $650. So after reading your posts and the threads maybe there is an $ opportunity here if there is a profit in it. Let me know.....

I'll type in a copy of the sheet on my garage wall for free. I just got home from the FL beach - gimme a few hours tomorrow - I also promised a board member pics of my seat belts.

It never ceases to amaze me how Corvette owners are so willing to share information/expertise and time with fellow Corvette owners - FREE!!! This type of forum is great. magicv8 (Dave) - Thanks for the torque info. Must have spent a ton of time compiling the list.

Wow...thanks. I have been working using this info for the last 3hrs. I had a lot of incorrect torqued bolts, some too tight and others that I'm wondering how they stayed on. The big surprise was the exhaust manifold. Some web sites called for 40lbs and you're list says 20lbs. Good thing I didn't strip them.
thanks again....frank in Colorado
