C2 brake pull
Gents:
Took the car out of 5 month storage. I snuck it out 2 times on sunny days over 50 degrees. When I went to get it out last weekend there was brake fluid all over the floor (in the front) and on the drivers side mats. I had the master rebuilt and installed this weekend. I just bled the master. Driving back home, the car pulls to the right upon braking. I put SS calipers on the car about 10 yrs ago. Do I need to bleed all the wheels. Do I need to bleed proportional valve. If is is the caliper, is it easy to rebuild, or send them out ( I probably should send out both fronts?).

Re: C2 brake pull (Daren Schneider)
Replacing the master requires bleeding the wheels all around as well. Take this as a good chance to change fluid.
10 years is a pretty long time and I have seen stuff that went in less.
1st bleed all around...if this does not work lookup calipers. If replacing is needed vbandp.com

Re: C2 brake pull (Daren Schneider)
Do you see any brake fluid leakage at the calipers? You said there was fluid "on the floor" - on the garage floor in addition to inside the car on the mats?
If there's leakage at the calipers, it's time to have them re-done with new seals or replace them, and if the flex hoses are over ten years old (you'll see dates on them) I'd replace those too. In the meantime, bleed the complete system to get the air out from opening it to change the master cylinder.

Re: C2 brake pull (Daren Schneider)
i do not see any fluid leaking from the calipers. I think I will bleed the whole system. Is there an order for bleeding?
Thanks and Regards,
Daren

Daren,
Start with the longest line first and end with the shortest.
The order will be: (had this wrong when I first posted it)
RR
LR
RF
LF
Be sure to keep the MC full because if you run out of fluid you have to start over (if you have the dual then you only have to redo that section). Also be sure to cover the MC openings when bleeding. I had my wife pump the pedal and she got impatient and started jerking it - brake fluid sprayed all over the place and I nearly died from a heart attack and then my wife almost killed me beacuse I "expressed my frustration". I now put the cap on lightly and remain calm..............

Re: C2 brake pull (Allcoupedup)
I will second the "Watch the fulid level in the MC" while bleeding..
If you let it get too low it will spray brake fluid everywhere...
There is a little gysier that will shoot straight up..
If this stuff gets on a fender... it will ruin your day..
Don't ask me how I know.... :mad :cuss :cry :cry :cry
Luckly, paint is fine, but I still see small oily spots when the car is left in the sun..
BTW I had a problem with the flex lines...
They looked great but one was plugged..
Brakes Pulled badly
Replaced lines, problem gone..
