First of all I have a new rebuild that I have had broken-in and had idling many times in the garage. She was really running nicely. Sunday was the big day and I pulled her out of the garage and had to turn to pull her into the street. When I turned the streering pulled the #3 plug off the spark plug. She's doesn't have her plugs wires tied down yet. After this I could not started her up again.
The plugs were fould, so I installed new plugs and let her dry out. I tried her again today with no luck I have a new pretronix system in the car that has worked fine in the garage. The distributor has not been moved and was in good timing in the garage. So I have air, gas, and fire, but no combustion, So what gives? She was running so nice.

If you REALLY have all 3, then it has to be timing, so you really have to check that.
My guess is that the steering pulled on the wire which in turn rotated the distributor or broke the distributor cap. You need to investigate further to make certain the carb is delivering fuel and that spark is getting to the plugs at the right time.
Found out that the distributor that I had a pertronics unit and did the curve a few months ago has a broken roll pin on the gear. This was pulled to change the spacing for the pertronics.
I didn't want to even think that it was the distributor, because the mechanic that did the work is very good and well known. But it's being fixed.
