Drove the vette to work tuesday 'cause the weatherman said it was gonna be nice. He was wrong. Oh well, still get to drive it  just gotta wash it later on. Pull into the driveway, drive over a sheet rock screw and flatten a tire. :mad Slowly roll it into the garage on a half-aired right rear and pull the hood latch..........you guessed it, broke the cable that goes from left to right hood latches. :cry At least the hood popped up so I didn't hafta climb under the car to release it. I had to laugh actually, the whole situation was so strange. I have no problems with this car and then all this stuff in an hour. This cable and the pull handle are just about the only things I didn't replace when rebuilding. Gots me a couple new ones to put on tonight. Whew, this place is SOOOooo theraputic.

I have come to believe that the benefit of the occasional bad day comes if it reminds us to appreciate the ordinary days when nothing great happens, but nothing bad happens either. There are a lot of ordinary days, and people who can appreciate each one are way ahead of the crowd. ... I hope your next day out with the Corvette is more ordinary.
I can sympathize. I have not had to do anything on my car in a couple of years outside of routine maintenance. Recently I have had a bunch of weird problems all at once. I feel the same as you. You just have to laugh and have a patient outlook towards it. It actually was satisfying to do the repairs when you approach it in the right state of mind.
Of course, like you, I was lucky and did not get stuck on the road somewhere. That helps your attitude.
