I have a definate CLUNK when I first put the car in gear and release the clutch. The U-joints seem fine on the half shafts . I havent checked the drive shaft U-joints yet . Probable that this is the cause or is there something else I might be overlooking ??
Is it a metalic CLANK or a Mutted CLUNK? It also may be your front differential mounting cushion that's loose or worn out. Or the ring/pinion too loose. Does the differential also whine?
