ONE SHOULD BE GROUND. THE OTHERS BEING UP AND DOWN. WHICH COLORS ARE WHAT SO I DON'T BURN IT UP. I WANT TO SELL IT BUT WANT TO MAKE SURE IT WORKS. I AM REPLACING ALL THE 65 STUFF WITH 64

Three wires at the switch - 12V power in, and "up" and "down" out. At the antenna, just two wires - "up" and "down" - the antenna has a separate ground strap from the bottom of the case to the frame rail.
The easiest way is to use some jumper wires with alligator clips attached to the ends. Connect the ground jumper to the negative post of a battery or battery charger, and the positive jumper to the up or down wire of the antenna.
If I am not sure if a item is short-circuited, I will just brush the wire quickly to make sure it doesn't create a huge spark. Adding a little fuse in line with the jumper wires will help avoid a melt-down.
