Default 66 Front Brake Question and Problem

I plan to have new rotors riveted to my hubs and turned as units to minimize runout (old rotors are under minimum thickness). Am I correct in assuming that removal of the old hub/rotor units (still riveted) consists of simply removing the spindle nuts and pulling the units off?

I'm having a problem with the upper bolt that secures the left caliper to its bracket. Despite using a six point socket, penetrating oil, and most of the four letter words I've acquired over the years, I've rounded the corners off the bolt, which is still tightly frozen in place. Any suggestions? If it makes any difference, the rotor will be scrapped anyway, and although I had planned to use my old caliper as a core, I'm willing to scrap it as well if necessary to get it off (it's not correct for the car).

Thanks for the help,

Mike

i would try to fit a metric socket to that bolt(or grind the bolt down to take a 9/16),
heat it with a torch and use an impact wrench to get it off
a side note, i had a cheap HF impact socket split on on of those bolts, so i know how hard they can be to get off, i replaced it with a 5/8 Craftsman socket
