Default Speedometer Drive Gears

The speedometer drive gear in the transmissions are colour coded to reflect the final gear ratios in the differentials. Would anybody have the list of colour and corresponding ratios.
Also, are these gear interchangeable between different transmissions such as Borg Warner, Muncies and Powerglides. Are these available through most Corvette parts vendors?

Thanks

Pierre,
Please see my post on this subject. We are in the same city. Go to Sunrise Pontiac-Buick-GMC on Bank St. and tell them Paul sent you. They can get the gears in one day and the price will be $5.50-$6.50CDN. They are a corporate sponsor of the Capital Corvette Club and give a substantial discount to Corvette owners.

Dave Paul,
Thanks for the info. I read the previous posting about this and it provides me with the info I was looking for. although it is not specifically mentioned, I take it that all these drive gears for Muncies, Borg Warner and Powerglides are the same.

Paul,
I didn’t know about Sunrise Pontiac-Buick-GMC giving discounts to Corvette owners. I’m in the process of major changes to my ‘56, will need lot’s of parts and will try take advantage of the discount.

Thanks again.

Pierre

Pierre,
I am a former employee of Sunrise and negotiated the discounts on behalf of the Club. But I would not hold out too much hope that many parts will still be available for a 1956....But it's worth a try. Speak with Kevin: he goes back at least to the C2 days. BTW, here are the codes and part numbers for the speedo driven gears.
