Driving out to get coffee this morning, the accelerator pedal went to the floor ane the car was at idle. The car has a 502 and non-stock throttle linkage arrangement (a threaded rod connects the factory bellcrank near the firewall to the carb).
A quick look under the hood showed that where the threaded rod is connected to the bellcrank, a cotter pin had fallen out and the other parts (esp a stepped washer-bushing) were missing. Looked around and -- can't find them on the ground.
Does anyone know where to buy this type of part? It's a very specific little piece of hardware. And I can't drive until I find something that works!
I'd try a local carb/elec repair shop, or a speed (hotrod parts) shop, or a junkyard, or see if you can adapt some stock linkage parts: http://www.licorvette.com/catalog.htm
