Default strange question?

Have a 1960 corvette and was wondering what the line right before 220 is suppose to indicate on the temp guage(200,205 or 210).. there is no line between 180 and this line.. it's about 3/4 of the way from 180 to 220
I know this sound carazy but can't figure out what it's suppose to indicate as ther is no number above it..any c-1 have the same guage and any ideas??

It really doesn't mean anything. These old gauges were never precision instruments and were designed to give a relative reading and warn of overheat conditions. What that division reads on your gauge likely won't be the same temp as on the 60 parked next to you. The gauges are not exactly linear either, so it's hard just to extrapolate.
