Default calling sherlock holmes

this question is just for fun. i was diddling with the power brake vacuum line, both at the booster end and at the manifold end. i did remove and replace it at the booster end. now, my car has been a great turn key for 5 years. always, always starts. but, after i finished diddling, i went to start it. it fired right up, but after about one second it died. tried it over and over, but it kept doing the same thing, no matter what i did with the mechanical choke. start, run for a second, stop. WTF? i went to look in the engine comapartment and i accidentally found the problem. pure luck; no skill on my part. fixed it and it starts and runs fine. when i think about it, there is really only one explanation, and i bet plenty of guys out there can do a sherlock holomes number and figure it out. any takers????
