Default How much difference between engine casting dates and car build dates is normal?

I'm curious what build dates would be considered "correct" for engine parts vs car build dates? My car seems to have been built on May 18,1964. I have an extra matching engine/tranny with block, heads, dist, and tranny built C-30-4 and C-31-4. The VIN stamped on those parts indicates that donor car was built Apr 28,1964. So, it appears those drivetrain parts were built about a month before the car (which was assebled 3 weeks before my car). Is that average or is there a "rule of thumb"? to use when shopping for correct dates? What's the earliest I could consider correct for my car? I'm not really trying to turn my car into a "numbers matching" original, but it could be kinda fun to keep an eye open for the right stuff.

The "typical of factory production" spread is about two days to three weeks between block casting date and engine assembly date, and about the same between engine assembly and car assembly, with many variations possible; for this reason, NCRS allows up to a six-month "window" between the block casting date and the car assembly date for full credit.
