msd ignition
I installed an msd box on my 65 327(250hp.) and it has made a big differance in its performance. But Id really like to know just what is this box really controling besides the dwell. Also I replaced my carter carb with an edelbrock and it works great to but Iam getting a gas smell on hard acceleration and was wondering if this is normal. Thanks for any help roland.

It depends upon what MSD system you have.
I have the 6AL system which replaces the points and has a rev limiter.

Can you provide moe details. The info at the website is not very informative....
(ie: replaces points - how does it do this ? Is it like the Pertronix unit ?)
