STV Valve
Has anyone tried the replacement part for the STV valve on a 66 air conditioned coupe with 327/300 HP? My original STV valve is leaking and I have been unable to locate a new one. I have found a couple of places that sell a conversion replacement that changes the system to CCOT. I found a rebuild kit at Docrebuild that is supposed to fix the leak problem but the vacuum side of mine is also bad, the part that does the compensation for higher altitudes.

I have a new Delco replacement valve that I had on my 67 briefly. I replaced it with one of the conversion valves since I will probably convert to 134. It is gathering dust on the work bench. If you are interested, drop me an email.

All the conversion kit is a block off plate and a new switch. It will not be hooked up to vaccum line anymore. It has a switch to mount. With my conversion kit I made it look original.

P.S. 66 has a STV valve and 67 has a POV valve. THEY ARE DIFFERENT.

Try corvgreg (supporting vendor). I bought a used POA for my 67 from him and was very satisfied with the quality/price. http://www.gregsclassicauto.com
