The solid lifter bb had a redline in the 6500 to 6750 range. The 390 hp 427 was hydraulic so I think the redline was lower. Anyone shed some more light on the subject?

Keep in mind, the reserve has not been met.
Redline on a 66 390 hp was 5200 rpm.
A nice car, but a bit ruff around the edges....
(like I have room to talk)

My matching 66 BB (390 HP) has a yellow band at 5000-5300 and the red band at 5300-5500. I'm sure that is what is also shown in the ebay pics also.

Had mine reving cleanly up to 4500 yesterday on some back roads here in CT. Nothing beats the sound of a BB reving up with carb wide open. "Sounds like,,,,,,victory!" or was it Smells like?
