Did you try the recommended vendors as mentioned in your earlier post?

If so what was their response.

Mark.

One year only item...etc. I'm afraid you "ain't" gonna find them cheap anywhere. I believe I recently saw non chrome plated repro's selling for about $400 per pair. Chuck

I got repos from Mary Jo for $800.00 and I looked for almost a year and that is the best deal I could find. Ph 858 451-1999

The guy who was making the trunk spear repros is the same guy who now sells the non-chrome ones. I think he advertises in the Driveline (the ncrs periodical). He was the guy all the retailers bought from.

I talked to him about a year ago and he told me he stopped having them chromed because it was causing too many problems. So getting trunk strips from Mary Jo or Corvette Central may be next to impossible. He now just sells non-chromed brassones direct. You'd have to have them chromed yourself.

I think the company is "Buzz Reproductions" and I believe they're in Pittsburgh, PA. The only thing I've heard about these is that they are too heavy....overcoming the "pressure" of the trunk springs when you open the trunk, i.e., the trunk won't stay open. Chuck
