Tom,
I got almost to the other side of RDU and remembered I left my camera at home. So no pics man. It was a great two days. I know it's not Hershey or some of the bigger venues but I thought if you needed it, it was there. Al Knoch's company was there always redoing and interior, seats, top whatever. Those guys are good and fast. You back your car in they strip the int and get to work. A few hours later it's a new int. Just neat to watch.
The auction was okay but I didn't sit there but for about an hour. A couple of midyears went thru in the mid 20's range but I wasn't impressed with em. The 67 BB I mentioned was a Maroon/Blk coupe that went for 50k. After that I left and started looking for parts and such. There was a nice Blue/Blue/Blk topped 65? that I would have been interesting in as it was the nicest one up for auction.
There were quite a few midyears for sale up on the hill. Lots of nice drivers and some that were more than that. It was definately a nice day to be buying. Numbers cars were there to be had and NOM also. I'd say there were at least 20 midyears for sale. One that also caught my eye a 67 BB coupe white/blue roll bar and road course history. Not that I could afford it but it was still neat to see.
I can say the weather was nice b/c last year on sunday I woke to 2" of snow and it took 2 extra hours to go thru the mountains.. WOW long answer to such a short question.. Dave..
It was the best Expo I've been to in about 4 years. Good weather, perfect on Saturday, lots of midyears, and I finally found what I've been looking for and got it home safely.
What did you do NOW????????????? The hood is stripped, sanded down, rebonded, repaired and the underside painted. It will be ready for you by Monday, just have to drill and tap the supports screws. Got to work this weekend so call me on Monday or Im commin over to see what you've done. :flag
Jerry, I found a nice little 65 convertible. Nassau blue, bright blue leather, 327/300 HP, 4 speed, PS, hubcaps, rear exhaust. Just what I've been looking. Bought it from a nice guy big in the Corvette hobby and is a member here on the forum, and he delivered it to my front door. Big help and smooth transaction. Come see it or I'll get it out your way one day. I'll try and get some pics emailed to you and Dave today.
About the hood, can you set up a payment plan for me, like $5 a month til paid off?
I am working this weekend but I will try to get by next week to see it in person and you can just sign it over for what you owe me :yesnod: :yesnod:    :flag
