I scored a very nice one on eBay about six months ago for $45.00. B 9 7 is a rare casting date - it's the ONLY calendar 1967 date that has ever shown up on any factory-installed 783 intake. Almost all factory 783's installed on 67's were cast in June and July of 1966 and were "banked" for later use; it's one of the very few components that NCRS now allows to be dated more than six months prior to the car's build date.
I have one in the basement and was tempted to put it up on EBay until I saw the low prices being offered. So it will sit in the basement.
And John you are too modest. You should have mentioned your fine article in the Winter 2003 issue of "The Corvette Restorer" (NCRS). It is a legendary description of the history of the ...783 intake. I enjoyed it very much.
Thanks JohnZ and Paul67, very valuable info, I also forgot to mention the intake also has the original black oil filler tube, and correct "S" cap, and thermostat housing.
