I noticed inside the fender where the sidepipe cover curls under the car, mine are just hanging loose on both sides. How are these supposed to attach back to the car? Is there any special nut and bolt to be used? I only ask because its going through some pretty thin fiberglass in that area and dont want to screw that up. thanks
there is a bracket,a small metal bar about 5" long & is available from venders such as Long Island Corvette or any vendor with tech tel # they will steer you to the correct product also the assy manuael will give you an exploded view............. :smash: :seeya :flag The Dog
If you give me a fax number i'll fax you the AIM page, it shows the proper place to drill the hole for the bracket (i just happen to have that page here with me in the office at the moment)
The bracket was riveted to the side pipe cover......(most side pipes have been added, and you'll see the bracket held on with 2 small bolts). If you want to make it look "factory installed" hold out for the rivets, they're very easy to install.
..yup, they gave you the goods...the front hanger bar is held on by a bolt that goes through the rear of the front wheel well, then through the lip of the steel splash shield behind it and screws into a nut which crimps that lip - drill from the back and the hole will line up
