were you happy with the results of the cluster rebuild? how much did it cost? I am going to have my cluster redone and have been hearing alot about someone named jason, and the place where you had yours done.
Cowtown Dave,
You do GOOD WORK!! That is one area of my '5 that does need atttention, the dash pads. Made the mistake of taken that car all apart EXCEPT the dash pads. Would've, could've SHOULD'VE!! Again, nice work.

Dave,
Great work!
I am not sure if it is true that your wife does not appreciate the fine work that you did. I think that it is that she does not get as excited about it. I remember when I did mine, I couldn't stop going back out to the garage late at night just to look at it!!
It is a lot of fun when you do it yourself and it turns out nice.

Excellent....dash restro really makes a big difference...do all your controls work now since you rewired? Secondly....now the radio has been reworked don't forget the ground straps and grounding plan, as well as the radio cable should be replaced, giving the radio a clean ground....this can cause problems if not done....been there got that T-Shirt...
Love those Dash Resto's...especially Corvette Specialists work....

Cowtown Dave, that's beautiful. I need to paint the center dash on my 63 after a little mishap with laquer thinner. I have the interior paint from Mid America but appears it will be too flat, (dark blue). Is the paint from Corvette america a better choice?
Tom65. I used to live in Apple Valley when I was a teen. Went to Valley Jr. High with Brian Rohl and Jeff Hanson, (since passed on in boating accident). My dad and I used to fish over at Black Dog lake.

Thanks!! The cluster work from C specialties was fantastic. It was a little more than I planned but they fixed things I didn't think about but definitely needed. They did the complete dash cluster, clock and console for about $1000. This is just going to be a daily driver but the dash cluster is 100 pts!!
Man that looks great!
A dash refurbish is in my plans. It includes a color change and I plan to use dye on the dash and pads. Any tricks on the dye job?
