Default Engine ID!

Hi Guys,

I have a buddies recently aquired 61 in my garage and I am trying to identify what motor he has.

The numbers are 180??01 in small script then VO###HK in bigger stampings.

The ? & # are just to keep his numbers private as I'm not sure if he would be comfortable with me publishing them.

Block casting no: 8914678

Any help will be much appreciated.

Thanks, Mark.

The 3914678 block was used in millions of '68-'79 327's and 350's (large-journal cranks) in all car and truck lines; the "HK" suffix and VIN derivative tags it as a '68 327 4-barrel Powerglide from a Caprice.
