gas in corvette
This may be a dumb question (but I am new to this). If I were to get a c1 vette and it is restored. I heard that you can not use the today's type of gas in it. Is this correct?
If so does it have to be lead gasoline?....and not unleaded?
If so where do you find the gas? is there an additive?

Depending on how the engine rebuild was done (that is whether or not hardened valve seats were put in) it may already be set up for unleaded gas. Even if it isn't, I personally don't believe there would be any problems running unleaded gas in a C1. If you were uncomfortable (for whatever reason) you could always add a lead substitute to your tank of gas (they are readily available at any auto parts store.) :thumbs:

Almost any Chevy V8 built with parts configurations that aren't too radical a departure from the norm will run on pump gas without difficulty. Hardened valve seats are not necessary unless you plan on extended high speed operation (racing). :auto:
