Default Bellhousing question

We're almost ready to install the drive train on our finished chassis but need some help re: bellhousing. I have a cast iron bellhousing casting #3778887 that I cannot identify. Can someone help identify this? Or, does anyone have an 11" aluminum bellhousing for sale?

Thanks for the help,

Gordon

Can't help you with the specific application, but, all 1955-61 chevy v-8's used cast iron bell housings as well as 62-70 trucks. My guess is that it is a 60's era truck bell housing. :yesnod:

I believe you're right. Fortunately my local engine builder always seems to have everything I need. He will dig out a correct bellhousing this weekend that I can pick up on Monday.

Thanks for the response Denney.
