I just upgraded my 64 vette to power steering and have hooked everything up. When I start the engine the wheel starts slamming back and forth real hard like a a little girl spitting green stuff all over the room. What did I do wrong?
At the drivers side end of the P.S. control valve there is a small nut usuallu under a cap that needs to be tightened or loosened, look in the instruction, or go to the VB+P website, I think they have a good diagnostic list there MAKE SURE YOU DON'T TURN THE KEY with you arm through the steering wheel.
Somthing I could finally help on...and I was beaten to the punch!!! Let us know if you have any other problems. As suggested, you will need to go through the "centering" procedure. I've probably had about every possible problem with the PS system in my car including the wrong BUBBA pulley on my pump and then it hitting my frame. Keep us updated!! Brian
