Besides the TTII's.. Cragars look cool but they need spacers.. However someone posted some pics of some Boyd Smoothies that are rumored to fit with no spacers. I don't have pic of the Smoothies however my sig shows my white 66 with 17" TTII's and the black 66 coupe next to mine has 15" Cragars on second look they maybe 16" Cragars... Dave..
Those of us with disc brake cars don't have nearly as many options you do. Though I really like my TT2's, if I had a drum brake car I probably would have gone with the original style TT's. Here's my `65 ....
American racing salt flats with the three bar spiners. they look like halibrand kidny beans of the 60s vintage. They come fully polished or with the centers gray. I just got a set with the gray centers for my 66. everybody runs cragers or TT2s. I am just a halibrand lover.
I like them a lot but the original TT's were popular when our cars were new and I like the "period" look even better. Keep in mind that I was a high school kid drooling over these cars at the local auto cross when they were new.
Easyflyer, No mods.. 17X7 with 4" of backspacing 225/50/17's They bolt right up... Think you can go a little wider but 225's are wide enough for me.. They are almost 8" inches across in width.. Dave..
No I have not put them on yet. The car is in my shop waiting for paint. But I will bring one to the shop today and bolt it on and see if there are any problems. The backspace is 3 3\8 , or I should say thats what I was told. I will let you know how I make out later today.
