I even saved thr wheels when I switched mid-years, and of course saved the stock hub caps and wheels, 1/2 hour and it is stock.

Ditto 100% I hate it when the wheels get so large the tires look like rubber bands.

I like the 17's.

I think 18's are too big for the C2, just because of proportions, but 17's are just right and stockers with piepan wheel covers just plain suck.

Believe me, if they had 17 inch wheels back in the mid-sixties they darn sure would have been using them.

Man you have good taste. I liked the Mossport Green one you had. I think this is the first time I have seen the Red one that you now have. PRURDY....

But then again I'm partial to the TTII crowd... Dave..

Please repost the picture. It's hard to comment when the picture in question is a big red "X".

thats better...both of those Vettes look great. I think I might buy a set. That way I can switch back and forth from the 17" Ralleys to the 17" TTII's. Both still have that classic look.

Dave that car looks great...is that your white one?

Tim, I don't remember which photo that we were talking about at the begining of this thread. The red one is just from the page prior. I want to say he had a Mossport Green one when the thread originated. Oh and yep that be the white rocket... Mean and low... Dave...

[QUOTE=65air_coupe]
So for me it's either 15" and 70 series tires or jump to 17" and 60-65 series. I suppose there's an in between with 16" but I'm not sure if the tire selection is there - something I still have to research. What I really need to do is go out and locate some C2s with the 17"s and see for myself if it looks 'Mattel'. The pictures just can't tell the whole story.
You can still get ultra high performance 15" tires. Here's a search I did at <tirerack.com> for ultra high performance (V-rated) 215/65/15, the size on my 67. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/Compar...UHPAS&x=59&y=9

How about these two?

With the amount of Corvettes with TT2's you would think they were OEM.

Ok, SLO 65, no hit and run allowed.

Thanks, Seaside
