Default Hood Pan for '67???

Does anyone know if anyone offers a cold air "hood pan" that uses the '67's front intake?

I've already knocked out the fiberglass block-out and cut the chrome trim and would like to make this a truley functional unit for a small block. I recognize that it wouldn't be as efficient as the L88 system, but would help isolate engine heat.

Chevrolet had it tooled up and ready to release until it failed all the Proving Ground water ingestion tests; it was P/N 3900342, but never went into production - it was cancelled three months before '67 production started. Didn't work anyway, as the opening is in the airflow's boundary layer; even out of the boundary layer, there's no power-increasing "ram-air" effect until well over 100mph. It wasn't driven by Engineering - it was another sales & marketing/styling-driven feature, like 3x2's and sidepipes.

Totally understand about the lack of ram air effect, but it would help isolate intake air from underhood heat and each 10 degrees can be like 3% power difference.

Cooler intake charge is definitely a benefit, but it's actually a 1% power increase for every 10 degrees of charge temperature reduction, not 3%.

You might try to IM Bluestripe67 he has an interesting hood setup, I though I had pics of it somewhere but can't find them.
