Default Generator number needed

Can anyone tell me the correct model number for the non-tach drive generator for a 1960 fuel injected, 290 hp corvette? I know I have the information at home, but found a generator that the seller says is from a 1960 f.i. corvette, need to decide if I will buy it today. Want to make sure it would be right for my car before I shell out any $'s. What should a used, rebuildable one be worth?

Thank You
Greg

Default Generator FI

#11102043 (30amp) all except 290 HP
# 11102173 (35amp) 290 HP

Pirkle and Corvette Central get $500 restored. Seen some on Ebay go
for close to $275. Good Luck.

OK, thank you! You may have saved me on this one. The model number on this one is 1102166. Any idea what this one is off of?
It has a november 59 date. Probably off a passenger car?
Thank You

I believe those numbers should be
1102043 30 amp
1102173 35 amp

Don's correct. The 1102166 was never used on any Corvette.

I can only find a 1102115 that is close to the 1102166. The numbering system had to do with size, brackets, end caps and positioning of the bracket holes. The '115' unit was a 35 amp, generator used on an AC, Power steering, Optional state police unit 348 motored car. As you may remember, all power steering units came off the back end of the generator as do the tach drive units. Remove the tach drive and there is a shaft to drive power steering ( same shaft)

My guess is the 1102166 is the same heavy duty generator probably used in a 50 amp or higher service for medical, fire or police use.
